'Chaozhou Ten Souvenirs' Slection Activity which started in Spring had a successful ending with a grand awarding ceremony in this golden autumn. These award souvenirs will become the primary method for tourists understand Chaozhou.

'China Life Sponsor • Chaozhou Ten Souvenirs' Selection Activity which was hosted by Chaozhou Heritage and Tourism Department and Chaozhou Radio and Television started on May 19th, 2011 and ended on September 25th, 2011 after several parts of declaration, first trail, public vote and others. 10 kinds of crafts ( Xianglong Celadon Tea Set, etc.), 10 kinds of daily necessities (Haili Jinzhao Tea Set, etc.) and 10 kinds of food (Yanghang Peanut Crispy Candy and Fermented Bean Curd Cake, etc.) were selected as 'Chaozhou Ten Souvenirs' according to result of public votes, suggestion of evaluation experts and verification of leader group.

After awarding ceremony, organizers declared to start 'Ancient Chaozhou New Present——Chaozhou Ten Cuisine & Ten Snacks' Selection Activity and 'Happy Chaozhou——Ten Thousand People Visit Chaozhou' Activity and awarded certificates to participants of 'Chaozhou Ten Cuisine & Ten Snacks'. 

Awarding ceremony of 'Chaozhou Ten Souvenirs' was hosted by Chaozhou Heritage and Tourism Department Director Wu Rong in Chaozhou Stadium on October 14th. Following leaders attended the awarding part: Chaozhou Acting Mayor Comrade Li Qingxiong, Chaozhou Municipal Committee and Secretary Comrade Chen Yang, Chaozhou People's Congress Vice Director Comrade Zhang Ruwen, Chaozhou Vice Mayor Comrade Zhong Huie, Chaozhou People's Political Consultative Conference Vice Chairman Comrade Zhen Jiasheng, Chaozhou Government Secretary General Comrade Ding Yingliang and Chaozhou Government Vice Secretary General Comrade Lin Guangying.

In the same day, lasting 5 days The First 'Chaozhou Souvenies Festival' had its opening ceremony. Companies who won the 'Ten Souvenis' showed their companies and products in this festival.

Chaozhou Acting Mayor Comrade Li Qingxiong said that, many high level souvenirs with deep local feature and culture stood out in the 'Chaozhou Ten Souvenirs' Selection Activity. Chaozhou signed Bijia Mountain and Chaozhou Cave Heritage Protection Cooperation Framework Agreement and set up construction of heritage park. 'Chaozhou Heritage Tourism' website expanded tourism propaganda and improved the reputation of Chaozhou Culture. Now Chaozhou is the most important tourist city in East Guangdong even the whole Guangdong Province.
